Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) is an important method in Bangladesh, which is used to detect the underlying problems or faults in electrical transformers and power systems. Through this analysis, the quantity and qualitative changes in the gas emitted from the transformer oil are examined, which indicate abnormal heating or signals inside the transformer. Through the DGA method, the type of gas (such as hydrogen, methane, acetylene, ethylene, etc.) produced from the transformer oil is analyzed, which determines what kind of mechanical or electrical fault is occurring. DGA inspection is widely used in the power generation and distribution sector of Bangladesh, so that any problems in the transformer or power system can be detected early, urgent repairs can be made and major accidents can be avoided.
